Program Overview
Our Careers Fairs are career advancement opportunities that provide students with access to a multitude of employers across a variety of industries and public and private spheres. We target underserved, Pan Asian American undergraduates seeking internship, volunteer, or full-time positions. Prior to the Career Fair, we provide mentorship and Career Foundations training for students to prepare them for interviews with our partner employers.
In August 2022, we co-hosted a virtual summer Career Fair that featured nearly 300 student registrants from universities across the country and 20 employers including National Grid, Google, Caleres, RIMOWA, and the National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP) in New York. We also facilitated a lunch networking session on the day of the Career Fair to provide students a space to connect with recruiters and other professionals who generously volunteered their time to answer questions and provide advice to aspiring Pan Asian American professionals. Furthermore, we offered professional development workshops such as How to Use and Leverage LinkedIn and How to Develop a Resume & Cover Letter that Stands Out, panels such as Interviewing Fundamentals, State of AANHPI in the Workplace, and What To Do, What Not To Do, and office hours (resume, cover letter, and interview training) in the week leading up to the career fair.
From the employer standpoint, Quarterly Career Fairs serve as an efficient and effective way to gain access to a nationwide pool of highly motivated, proactive, and trained talent across a multitude of career interests. Additionally, we provide employers with inroads to students they don't normally target, underserved (first-generation college attendee, low-income, FAFSA-eligible, non-target school) Pan Asian American undergraduates. Lastly, employers will receive brand visibility amongst AAD students and the broader Pan Asian American community for their contributions to advancing AAD's mission.
AAD Career Fairs are facilitated by Pan Asian Americans for Pan Asian Americans, in conjunction with our partner employers. If you are a student who is seeking an internship, full-time employment, or volunteer opportunities, then this is the program for you! If you are an employer aiming to enhance your existing talent pipelines, we welcome you to become a partner employer!

Student Testimonials
As an Asian student, it really means a lot to have a job fair for Asians by Asians, knowing that I'm not alone in this navigation process for internships or jobs. |
The career fair was a great networking opportunity and really helped to guide my approach toward securing a career as an AANHPI. I definitely feel more confident in my materials, presentation, and narrative after attending. |
I thought the fair had a great selection of employers and resources to improve aspects of career development like resume writing, interviewing, and using LinkedIn. |
AAD x CAPAL Summer Career Fair was definitely a worth it experience! I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to advance their career skills and connect with potential employers. The staff were extremely helpful and the office hours brought about much-needed assistance. |
Employer Testimonials
The AAD x CAPAL Career Fair was a wonderfully engaging experience, directly connecting dynamic, accomplished AANHPI students across the country with top employers seeking next generation leaders to hire. I was truly impressed by the calibre of students and quality of conversations I had throughout the day. |
After participating in this career fair, it definitely made me reflect on the unique challenges that Asian Americans have when entering the workplace - especially those from first and second generation immigrant families. When I was younger, I didn't have access to a lot of professional mentors (which often come from parents/family), so I think you've got a great mission. |
I had a lot of fun meeting so many students and young professionals. I'm inspired by them for taking advantage of this opportunity, especially since I never did anything like this when I was their age.
