AAD Programming Overview
Through our programming, we aim to make students’ career journeys less stressful, less complicated, and more personalized based on their unique heritage, professional interests, and career aspirations. Our target demographic is underserved (first-generation college attendee, low-income, FAFSA-eligible, non-target school), Pan Asian American undergraduates. For 2023, our outreach efforts will be centered around colleges within New York State; however, AAD programming is available for all students.
Our goal is to serve 1000+ students in 2023, which can be either recurring or new program participants. Additionally, we seek to increase the number of students that receive second round interviews and employment offers, increase students’ confidence in their abilities, knowledge, and skills to achieve their career aspirations, and increase their proficiency in the 8 career readiness competencies (professionalism, communication, critical thinking, teamwork, leadership, digital technology, career management, and global/intercultural fluency) after participating in our programming.
Our 2023 curriculum will feature our Kin Mentorship program, Career Foundations program, and Career Fairs. Stay tuned!
